The True North Board nomination process is underway!

The period for members to submit applications to be included in the the Board of Director's Nominating Committee process closed February 1, 2025.  Check back here for more information on the Committee's recommended Slate of Candidates, and other election information. 

Directors are elected to three year terms. All applicants to fill these seats will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee, comprised of three Directors who are not active candidates.   The Nominating Committee will select its recommended slate of candidates from the pool of qualified applicants.  An applicant not selected by the Nominating Committee will have an opportunity to submit a petition supporting their candidacy after the Nominating Committee's slate of candidates is announced.

To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors:

  1. An applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Applicants must be a member in good standing, with at least $5 in a Regular Share Account; the member must never have caused True North a financial loss.
  3. Applicants must never have been convicted of a crime involving dishonesty or breach of trust. Applicants will be provided a waiver authorizing the Credit Union to perform a background and bondability check.
  4. Current employees of True North FCU are not eligible.
  5. Relatives of current employees or of seated Officials are not eligible.

To submit your application to the Nominating Committee:

  • A letter explaining your interest in serving on the Board and relevant experience.
  • A resume or cover letter.
  • Include your member number
  • Submit your application information no later than February 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM AKST to the attention of Nominating Committee at:
