College is your next step and you're noticing how quickly those college expenses can add up. We're here to help.

In order to qualify, the high school senior must have an unweighted cumalative GPA between 3.00 - 3.75, must have good citizenship charateristics, as well as be active in the school and/or community activities. See below for full eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicant must be a resident of Alaska.
Applicant must be graduating from high school or equivalent in Spring 2025.
Applicant must intend to be a full-time student for the Fall 2025 semester at an accredited college, university or technical school in any of the 50 United States. Funds will be disbursed to the winning applicants’ school of choice.
Applicant cannot be related to a True North Board member, True North Supervisory Committee Member, True North Executive Management Team or the judging panel.
Unweighted Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) between: 3.00 - 3.75

Submission Process

The 2025 College Scholarship application:
- Printed single sided only
- No staples, paperclips
- No photos of self or others

Application and Supporting Documents

Applicants need to use the 2025 College Scholarship Application form which can be downloaded here, or picked up at any True North Federal Credit Union location.
Recommendations from two non-related adults are required. Greater detail are found on the Recommendation forms.
Return the completed application with the following:
1. Copy of your high school transcript, or if home-schooled, a description of your high school program.
2. Copy of the letter of acceptance from the college/technical school/university you plan to attend (if available).
Application packets can be hand delivered to any True North Federal Credit Union location. If you prefer to mail the packet, please address it to:

Applications cannot be submitted in electronic form. Applications that are received via email will not be considered for awards.
The application deadline is March 17, 2025. Applications must be either delivered or postmarked by this date.
